Morning Motivator – Is Your Perception…Reality?

It is so very easy to ASSUME the worst of someone or something when we get a wrench thrown in our gears. Look back 6 weeks ago – has something MAJOR in your life occurred since then? A single UNFORSEEN event that has required your attention or focus to be in a place different from what you hoped? Guess what … me too!

Often we think that someone has SPITED us or that somehow we are being punished for something bad we have done. Nope – it's just called LIFE. Bad stuff happens and most often not on PURPOSE. So what are your choices? A. Get pissed off and pout around all day. B. Assume the best will turn up and roll with it or C. Take ACTION and find a way to assimilate with the challenge (i.e. make yourself a part of it to overcome it). I like B or C – A is never a good option. So what are YOU going to do? How will you handle the UNSEEN yet EXPECTED changes of life? If you aren't preparing now – you may find yourself in a funny spot later.

2 DEGREE SUCCESS STEP:

The IDEAL way to manage any unforeseen change is to tackle it head on. If you are now faced with a new TASK – schedule the time and knock it out! If you are challenged with a PERSON – call them and speak to them about it! If you are forced into a financial situation – examine your expenses and revenues, eliminate the unneeded items and go for it!

There is nothing in this world you are UNABLE to recover from and KNOW that most of your "MY LIFE IS ENDING" moments are nothing more than your dramatic ploy to convince yourself things are much bigger than they are. Keep your COOL and take care of business… you know what you have to do!

Morning Motivator - Does Your Body Hate You?

We take for granted the way we feel on a daily basis. Often we complain about who did this, or how that didn't happen. We often overlook a few of the more important graces we have been provided – HEALTH, EDUCATION and WEALTH (yes, you are wealthy – go to a 3rd world country and you will find you live like a king here).

The most important of all is your HEALTH. Do you remember the last time you were ill? Do you remember how miserable you were, if even for just 48 hours? Your health is the gateway to your SUCCESS. If you cannot function at a high level – you cannot ACHIEVE at a higher one.

What are you doing DAILY to ensure your health? What measures are you taking to see that your body is treated like the DIVINE temple that it is? Do you make time for GROWTH of your body and mind like you do for your BUSINESS?

2 DEGREE SUCCESS STEP:
No one expects you to change your entire life in 180 degrees towards a perfect healthy lifestyle. Make small 2 degree adjustments daily and you will find your goals are very much within reach. Here are some tips to help you make those changes:

- Take a vitamin daily with breakfast

- Dedicate 30 minutes to exercise daily (walking, sit ups, push ups, soccer)

- Rest for at least 7 hours (your work will still be there when you wake up and more will be there if you finish it all)

- Eat in a balanced fashion (you cant complain about weight if you core diet consists of coke and hamburgers)

- When you feel illness coming on – See a PHYSICIAN (they went to school a long time, let them use their skills to help you – there is no PRIDE in "toughing it out")

Morning Motivator - Why the Heck are You Even Here?

Last night, as part of the Junior Chamber speaking series, I was able to enjoy a moving presentation from a personal mentor - Michael Burt. Michael spoke about finding your VOICE and defining your PURPOSE.

The discussion made me think about the GOALS of the Morning Motivator. My goal for YOU is to help you ACHIEVE, OVERCOME and build CONFIDENCE for you to take positive ACTION in daily life.

Now ask yourself - WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE? Why are you here on this Earth? Are you CLEAR on what your day to day contribution is to the ENHANCEMENT of our world? Do you think it IMPORTANT to know this..?

2 DEGREE SUCCESS STEP:

Morning Motivator - What Will be Your Legacy?

I believe that we are all seeking certain achievements in our life. A balanced SUCCESS of personal, professional, & spiritual life. I also believe we are all intended for a PURPOSE by which we seek to leave our LEGACY.

What will be your legacy? What will you leave behind for others that will BETTER our world and societies? Have you even thought that far out?

You OWN the ability and talent to IMPACT others in such a way that you are able to mold their entire being. That POWER is great and must be FOCUSED towards growth and leadership... When did you last help someone become a better person? When will you again?

2 DEGREE SUCCESS STEP:
We are all given natural talents by which to HELP others. The questions you must ask are - What is MY talent? How will I USE it to better others? Once you are able to answer these questions... You will have taken your first steps towards leaving your LEGACY!

Start carving out your path of betterment today by helping someone near you GROW in their personal, professional or spiritual life. Your REWARDS will be immeasurable.

Morning Motivator - Working 9 to 5 is INSANITY!

  How is it possible that all people in the world needs EXACTLY 8 hours per day to accomplish their work?  How much time do YOU need to accomplish your work daily?  Not the paper shuffling - the REAL work!

  When you consider your "VALUE" as a worker - what do you think of?  The number of hours that you WORK per week?  The amount of business you can MANAGE in a day?  The OVERALL contribution to the success of your group?  What does your employer or customers think?

  I challenge this thought to you... you SHOULD be paid for what you DO no matter how long (or short) it takes you to do it.  If you are paid $50,000 per year to manage accounts and you are ABLE to do so by working 2 days per week - does that mean you are NOT worth the $50,000?  If you were able to do so, what would your BOSS say?  Are you paid for what you ACCOMPLISH or how long you BABYSIT a computer?  Why?

2 DEGREE SUCCESS STEP:
  The concept of working 9-5 is one of legacy and tradition.  Do you work MORE hours to get stuff done..?  Do you ever work LESS?

  The FUNCTIONAL step towards success here is to DEFINE what your "JOB" is and what are the CRITERION for effective execution.  As an EMPLOYEE - Once you see that you are not a TIME BOUND employee - you will realize that it is your efforts that define success, not the "hours you put in."  As an EMPLOYER - Realize that you are paying for PRODUCTIVITY, DEFINE your requirements of employees and celebrate their ability to minimize their work hours.  They will celebrate back!
